Well, this week seems to have really zipped by after having Memorial Day off. Today is the official start of the 2012 hurricane season. It's not the day you want to celebrate like Nov. 30th when the season ends. Not that the weather really conforms to dates as I'm sure east coast residents can tell you since they already experienced rains from an early hurricane this year already. I hope it's a quiet year for everyone!

Speaking of weather, we had some torrential rain around here yesterday and last night that preceded a cold(read that as a dry)front which is supposed to keep the temps around here only in the 80's today and tomorrow. Ohhh.... the chill is in the air! Lol..... I might have to make a pot of gumbo or something to warm the tummy.

I do hope to get around to using a new toy I got a while ago. I'm thinking about making some good homemade bread. Got a few ideas but so many recipes out there it's hard to decide which. I'm sure I'l nail down one or two.
I do have some butts I took out of the freezer to either make sausage with or smoke. Other than that anything else will most likely be a spur of the moment decision.
Wait! Maybe some burgers. Yea, burgers! Maybe I'll make the buns for the burgers too.

Hows about some BBQ'd Cheekin, I used some of Oakridge boys Gamebird and chicken rub. Then a little KG BBQ sauce. This was the best Chicken I ever had.

Holy crap Key. I just had a huge breakfast of eggs over easy, red spud hash browns, and some of my smoke country sausage. Seeded Italian bread and butter to clean the plate. Key, you made me hungry again with the great looking chicken. 10 crawfish tails dere

I cut grass in the front yard yesterday morning and was a tad hungry when I came in so I made a quick egg and cheese sandwich on Texas Toast. I used three fresh eggs that I had just taken from the nest a few hours earlier and this was a perfectly "hit the spot" sandwich.
The picture doesn't really do it justice but take my word for it, it was really good!!!
