Then into the preheated smoker for a 2 hour ride of Pecan smoke.

Nice! Gotta try this. Question Can I heat and smoke at the same time? Also does it have to be Pecan Smoke. Can I use Hickory?

I heated and smoked at the same time. Most people prefer hickory, i just did not have any. Goodluck most people leave the shell on but ssems to me like a waste of ingrediants.

It's just a personal preference, it doesnt matter either way. Try them one way and then different next time see what you like best.

Okay Keymaster it took me forever to find the recipe of Seemore but found it on the Bradley forum. I had to see if all this stuff was heated up on the stove or just mixed together and put on the smoker. I'm warming up the Masterbuilt smoker right now. I'm going to do raw almonds, raw peanuts and 2 cups of pistachios all in the same sauce. Hopefully you'll see this before I start. I don't have the pickled jalapenos juice. Do you think this will mess up the whole thing or do I go to Walmart?

I would try and get the Jalapeno Juice, cant think of any substitutions right now but Squirtthecat mixes the recipe up all the time with different stuff. My walmart is about 10 blocks down the road either way, we got two

Okay check this out. I went to Walmart got all the stuff I needed. The almonds and the pistachios have the recipe on them. Now for the peanuts I changed a few things, instead of 3 tablespoons of the green I put 2 green and 1 tablespoon of Hog Wallow hot sauce in. Taste great or you can use Franks Hot Sauce. Now on the smoking. I put all in the masterbuilt and as of right now I'm just smoking with the grill kicker (hickory). After 45 mins I'm going to turn the unit on and get it up to a temp of 225@ add hickory chips and go for 3hrs. How's that sound? Pic to follow after all done.

Sounds like a plan. I Went two hours of smoke and that was about right for my taste then 2 more hours of drying time with out smoke. Hickory is one of the stronger smokes so unless you like them real smoky I would go no more than 3 hours smoke tops. Lets see what STC thinks.....
