Tonights dinner was grilled shark steaks. I figured it would be a good meal to celebrate the start of Shark Week on Discovery Channel tonight. ;D I marinated them in some white wine with Worchestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt and fresh cracked black pepper. Then when they were on the grill I brushed on some melted butter with some of my homemade Citrus Blend seasoning. That worked fantastic with a nice season and citrus flavor. Found a new use for that rub. to go with the shark I also marinated some fresh veggies and skemered them with some fresh pineapple onto these cool Firewire flexible grilling skewers. Also had a potato side dish and a nice crisp salad to go with that.
Normally I don't spray or wipe the grates with oil but this time I didn't want this shark to stick to the grates so I sprayed a baking spray. What resulted was I didn't get much of any grill marks. That was disappointing as the grill was heated up to just over 500* and should have made beautiful and tasty grill marks. I'll not do that again.
Right before brushing on the butter and citrus rub.
Overall a pretty darn good and different meal!
